Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Insurance and Real Estate Development sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030), which rose 9.96% or 1.90 points to trade at 20.98 at the close. Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance (TADAWUL:8200) added 6.89% or 2.50 points to end at 38.80 and Thimar Development Holding Co (TADAWUL:4160) was up 6.04% or 2.50 points to 43.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arriyadh Development Co. (TADAWUL:4150), which lost 5.27% or 1.45 points to trade at 26.05 in late trade. Red Sea Housing Services Company (TADAWUL:4230) declined 3.34% or 2.30 points to end at 66.50 and Zamil Industrial Investment Co (TADAWUL:2240) shed 3.33% or 0.90 points to 26.15.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 156 to 156 and 20 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.45% or 1.68 to $66.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.09% or 1.52 to hit $71.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 2.80 to trade at $2,570.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.25% to 3.96, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 106.62.
