Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Chemicals and Electrical & Electronic equipment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.51% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM), which rose 7.87% or 105 points to trade at 1440 at the close. Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 7.34% or 1.60 points to end at 23.40 and Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) was up 5.34% or 235 points to 4638 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which lost 9.99% or 10.99 points to trade at 99.01 in late trade. Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) declined 9.93% or 149.0 points to end at 1351.0 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) shed 9.89% or 35.90 points to 327.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.08% or 0.04 to $50.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $53.23 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.10 to trade at $1248.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.10% to 10.7350, while USD/MAD fell 0.11% to 10.0355.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 100.18.
