Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Services, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.65% or 35.0 points to trade at 1355.0 at the close. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) added 2.31% or 65.0 points to end at 2875.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.26% or 25.0 points to 2010.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which lost 3.68% or 70.0 points to trade at 1830.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 2.43% or 210.0 points to end at 8420.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) shed 1.77% or 180.0 points to 10000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 2.61% or 3.08 to $121.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 1.56% or 46.00 to hit $2997.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 0.34% or 4.30 to trade at $1262.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.10% to 3159.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.26% to 838.55.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 97.32.
