Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 1.41% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT), which rose 1.17% or 0.05 points to trade at 4.33 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) added 0.66% or 0.01 points to end at 0.92 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.21% or 0.02 points to 9.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which lost 2.82% or 0.10 points to trade at 3.58 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) declined 2.79% or 0.01 points to end at 0.35 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) shed 2.41% or 0.09 points to 3.72.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.55% or 0.45 to $82.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.45% or 0.35 to hit $78.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 2.55 to trade at $2,329.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 104.95.
