Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE), which rose 0.63% or 0.02 points to trade at 2.41 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) added 0.58% or 0.10 points to end at 17.20 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was up 0.55% or 0.04 points to 7.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which lost 2.51% or 0.36 points to trade at 13.96 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) declined 1.26% or 0.05 points to end at 3.77 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) shed 1.15% or 0.20 points to 17.23.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.26% or 1.79 to $77.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.44% or 1.84 to hit $73.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 13.15 to trade at $2,663.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 103.04.
