Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 1.30% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.65 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) unchanged 0.47% or 0.00 points to end at 0.43 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) was up 0.06% or 0.01 points to 8.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which lost 1.54% or 0.22 points to trade at 14.10 in late trade. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) declined 1.38% or 0.24 points to end at 17.20 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) shed 0.95% or 0.04 points to 3.64.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.11% or 0.08 to $74.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $70.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 14.70 to trade at $2,706.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 103.62.
