Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.42% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 5.30% or 0.26 points to trade at 5.26 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) added 1.62% or 0.12 points to end at 7.52 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was up 1.02% or 0.04 points to 3.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which lost 3.03% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.33 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) declined 2.09% or 0.09 points to end at 4.22 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) shed 1.51% or 0.14 points to 9.15.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $82.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $78.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.24% or 28.65 to trade at $2,346.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 105.21.
