Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which unchanged 1.18% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.38 at the close. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) added 0.12% or 0.02 points to end at 16.09 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.12% or 0.01 points to 4.18 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which lost 1.67% or 0.24 points to trade at 14.14 in late trade. EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) declined 1.28% or 0.05 points to end at 3.70 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) shed 0.70% or 0.10 points to 14.22.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.40% or 0.32 to $79.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.56% or 0.43 to hit $76.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 6.85 to trade at $2,470.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.90.
