Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 1.05% or 0.18 points to trade at 16.90 at the close. Semapa (ELI:SEM) added 0.81% or 0.12 points to end at 15.00 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) was unchanged 0.50% or 0.00 points to 0.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which lost 2.12% or 0.31 points to trade at 14.33 in late trade. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) declined 1.03% or 0.18 points to end at 17.26 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) shed 0.95% or 0.04 points to 3.86.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 3.08% or 2.36 to $78.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.06% or 2.24 to hit $75.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 17.10 to trade at $2,643.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 102.73.
