Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.27% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which rose 3.37% or 0.24 points to trade at 7.36 at the close. Semapa (ELI:SEM) added 1.65% or 0.24 points to end at 14.78 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was up 1.52% or 0.05 points to 3.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP), which lost 2.72% or 0.10 points to trade at 3.65 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 2.55% or 0.33 points to end at 12.62 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) shed 0.77% or 0.01 points to 0.91.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 14 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.46% or 0.33 to $70.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.39% or 0.26 to hit $67.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 27.75 to trade at $2,783.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 104.23.
