Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.23% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT), which rose 4.26% or 0.22 points to trade at 5.39 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) added 2.23% or 0.08 points to end at 3.48 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) was up 0.78% or 0.04 points to 5.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which lost 1.50% or 0.14 points to trade at 9.50 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) declined 0.84% or 0.14 points to end at 16.51 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) shed 0.79% or 0.06 points to 7.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.07% or 0.05 to $72.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.69% or 1.19 to hit $69.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.44% or 37.51 to trade at $2,645.61 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.69% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 107.40.
