Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR), which rose 1.51% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.91 at the close. Semapa (ELI:SEM) added 1.17% or 0.18 points to end at 15.50 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) was up 0.42% or 0.01 points to 2.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which lost 1.14% or 0.04 points to trade at 3.63 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) declined 1.11% or 0.22 points to end at 19.09 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) shed 0.74% or 0.04 points to 5.39.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.91% or 1.57 to $80.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.14% or 1.68 to hit $76.72 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 10.60 to trade at $2,405.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.19.
