Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 0.54% or 0.02 points to trade at 3.37 at the close. EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) added 0.46% or 0.02 points to end at 3.74 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) was up 0.34% or 0.07 points to 19.07 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT), which lost 1.53% or 0.07 points to trade at 4.18 in late trade. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) declined 1.08% or 0.05 points to end at 4.75 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) shed 1.05% or 0.17 points to 16.07.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.49% or 0.38 to $78.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.84% or 0.63 to hit $75.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.13% or 27.55 to trade at $2,459.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.50% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.07.
