Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Telecoms and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.88% or 0.0220 points to trade at 0.3960 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 2.78% or 0.1240 points to end at 4.5920 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 1.76% or 0.0920 points to 5.3320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP (LS:EDP), which lost 2.79% or 0.0890 points to trade at 3.0960 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.38% or 0.0120 points to end at 0.8590 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 0.93% or 0.1500 points to 16.0600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.23% or 0.70 to $56.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.17% or 1.12 to hit $50.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.57% or 7.38 to trade at $1277.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.1745, while EUR/GBP rose 0.39% to 0.8853.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 93.41.
