Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.54% or 0.0500 points to trade at 3.3000 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 1.32% or 0.0710 points to end at 5.4510 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 0.90% or 0.0023 points to 0.2592 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.60% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.4500 in late trade. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 1.28% or 0.150 points to end at 11.570 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) shed 1.10% or 0.0780 points to 7.0030.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 16 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.19% or 0.11 to $57.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $51.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 7.99 to trade at $1282.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.1780, while EUR/GBP fell 0.87% to 0.8929.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 93.55.
