Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.35% or 0.0059 points to trade at 0.2572 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) added 1.58% or 0.0850 points to end at 5.4530 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 1.24% or 0.0650 points to 5.3110 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP (LS:EDP), which lost 3.51% or 0.1090 points to trade at 2.9980 in late trade. REN (LS:RENE) declined 2.58% or 0.0710 points to end at 2.6800 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 1.73% or 0.2950 points to 16.7150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 12 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.10% or 0.63 to $57.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.84% or 0.43 to hit $51.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.28 to trade at $1305.88 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.1808, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8889.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 92.99.
