Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 3.00% or 0.1050 points to trade at 3.6100 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 2.63% or 0.300 points to end at 11.700 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 1.34% or 0.1000 points to 7.5450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which lost 1.79% or 0.0170 points to trade at 0.9310 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 1.68% or 0.0049 points to end at 0.2861 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) shed 1.66% or 0.0040 points to 0.2370.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.26% or 0.17 to $64.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.25% or 0.15 to hit $60.86 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1325.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.2378, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.8856.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 89.67.
