Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which rose 3.51% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.43 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) added 2.49% or 0.11 points to end at 4.32 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was up 1.81% or 0.07 points to 3.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO), which lost 0.84% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.95 in late trade. Semapa (ELI:SEM) declined 0.13% or 0.02 points to end at 14.98 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) shed 0.10% or 0.01 points to 5.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 7 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.63% or 0.50 to $78.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.73% or 0.55 to hit $75.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.44% or 38.10 to trade at $2,677.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 102.67.
