Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 6.10% or 0.15 points to trade at 2.57 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 3.89% or 0.41 points to end at 10.94 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 1.84% or 0.15 points to 8.32 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which lost 0.79% or 0.04 points to trade at 5.03 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) declined 0.74% or 0.03 points to end at 3.51 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) 0.49% or 0.00 points to 0.44.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 6 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.97% or 0.72 to $74.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.20% or 0.84 to hit $70.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.22% or 32.60 to trade at $2,707.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.71% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 107.62.
