Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 1.49% or 0.07 points to trade at 5.03 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) added 1.12% or 0.03 points to end at 2.53 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was up 1.08% or 0.18 points to 16.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS), which lost 0.96% or 0.04 points to trade at 3.61 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) declined 0.73% or 0.03 points to end at 3.56 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) 0.35% or 0.00 points to 0.42.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.67% or 1.24 to $75.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.70% or 1.19 to hit $71.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 1.15 to trade at $2,747.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.06.
