Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 4.35% or 0.0340 points to trade at 0.8160 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 2.02% or 0.2850 points to end at 14.3850 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.67% or 0.0160 points to 0.9760 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which lost 1.09% or 0.125 points to trade at 11.370 in late trade. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.39% or 0.0130 points to end at 3.3310 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) shed 0.30% or 0.0210 points to 7.0590.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 29 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.76% or 0.42 to $55.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.54% or 0.76 to hit $50.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.28 to trade at $1329.28 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1879, while EUR/GBP fell 1.43% to 0.8868.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 92.33.
