Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which rose 2.55% or 0.3750 points to trade at 15.0900 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.34% or 0.3500 points to end at 15.3100 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) was up 2.21% or 0.060 points to 2.780 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which lost 1.18% or 0.0540 points to trade at 4.5040 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 1.13% or 0.0033 points to end at 0.2892 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 0.52% or 0.0250 points to 4.7550.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 2.42% or 1.54 to $65.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.81% or 1.69 to hit $61.81 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.60 to trade at $1324.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.2322, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8893.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 90.02.
