Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.38% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 3.72% or 0.4500 points to trade at 12.5500 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) added 2.02% or 0.0180 points to end at 0.9085 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 1.62% or 0.140 points to 8.760 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP (LS:EDP), which lost 1.04% or 0.0320 points to trade at 3.0430 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 0.72% or 0.0300 points to end at 4.1200 and Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) shed 0.61% or 0.050 points to 8.100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.16% or 0.10 to $62.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $54.21 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.95 to trade at $1279.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1370, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8817.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 95.990.
