Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 4.89% or 0.0136 points to trade at 0.2919 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.94% or 0.3850 points to end at 13.4700 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 2.23% or 0.250 points to 11.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 1.76% or 0.0650 points to trade at 3.6200 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.06% or 0.1750 points to end at 16.2900 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) shed 0.88% or 0.0440 points to 4.9360.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 2.88% or 2.19 to $73.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 3.31% or 2.34 to hit $68.39 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1311.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.1878, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 92.88.
