Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.13% or 0.0280 points to trade at 2.4970 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 0.59% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.3400 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 0.53% or 0.0900 points to 17.0500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which lost 0.69% or 0.0380 points to trade at 5.4910 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 0.60% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.8260 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) shed 0.47% or 0.0320 points to 6.7860.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.40% or 0.21 to $52.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.53% or 0.26 to hit $49.13 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.33 to trade at $1261.37 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1745, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.9050.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 93.58.
