Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Energy and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.64% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 23.44 at the close. OrangePL (WA:OPL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 4.45 and ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 172.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP), which lost 4.64% or 1.95 points to trade at 40.05 in late trade. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 4.24% or 1.22 points to end at 27.58 and Play Communications SA (WA:PLY) shed 3.70% or 0.66 points to 17.16.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 323 to 140 and 153 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.21% or 1.62 to $71.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.30% or 1.91 to hit $81.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.53% or 30.20 to trade at $1223.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.23% to 4.3080, while USD/PLN fell 0.68% to 3.7225.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 94.88.
