Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Information Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP), which rose 1.41% or 0.13 points to trade at 9.37 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 1.23% or 0.13 points to end at 10.70 and OrangePL (WA:OPL) was up 0.80% or 0.04 points to 5.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which lost 4.26% or 6.40 points to trade at 143.80 in late trade. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 3.40% or 1.62 points to end at 46.00 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) shed 2.04% or 5.00 points to 240.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 230 to 191 and 192 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.68% or 0.45 to $66.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.13% or 0.10 to hit $76.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.10 to trade at $1304.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.23% to 4.2677, while USD/PLN fell 0.43% to 3.6190.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.53.
