Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which rose 4.02% or 0.37 points to trade at 9.58 at the close. Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) added 2.72% or 2.65 points to end at 100.20 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was up 2.58% or 1.16 points to 46.12 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which lost 7.97% or 17.10 points to trade at 197.50 in late trade. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) declined 2.80% or 2.67 points to end at 92.56 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) shed 2.76% or 0.28 points to 9.85.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 239 to 215 and 183 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.54% or 1.08 to $69.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.93% or 0.70 to hit $74.85 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.60 to trade at $1223.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.13% to 4.2763, while USD/PLN rose 0.15% to 3.6538.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 94.27.
