Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Information Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 5.06% or 1.76 points to trade at 36.52 at the close. Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) added 3.69% or 2.05 points to end at 57.55 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was up 3.54% or 0.37 points to 10.81 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which lost 4.72% or 8.00 points to trade at 161.60 in late trade. mBank (WA:MBK) declined 4.01% or 18.80 points to end at 450.60 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) shed 3.95% or 0.37 points to 9.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 251 to 199 and 199 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.81% or 0.43 to $53.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.64% or 0.39 to hit $61.48 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.36% or 17.45 to trade at $1297.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.03% to 4.2868, while USD/PLN fell 0.88% to 3.7578.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 95.550.
