Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Construction and Food sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were mBank (WA:MBK), which rose 2.05% or 8.40 points to trade at 418.00 at the close. Bank Zachodni WBK SA (WA:BZW) added 1.08% or 4.00 points to end at 376.00 and Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski SA (WA:PKO) was up 0.97% or 0.40 points to 41.79 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which lost 5.57% or 2.06 points to trade at 34.94 in late trade. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 3.99% or 0.32 points to end at 7.71 and Kruk SA (WA:KRU) shed 3.12% or 6.30 points to 195.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 324 to 147 and 173 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.18% or 1.50 to $67.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.72% or 1.33 to hit $75.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.50 to trade at $1203.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.04% to 4.3264, while USD/PLN rose 0.02% to 3.7224.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 95.05.
