Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 2.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which rose 4.73% or 0.37 points to trade at 8.20 at the close. Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) added 3.72% or 3.35 points to end at 93.35 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was up 3.39% or 0.060 points to 1.830 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which lost 3.46% or 0.92 points to trade at 25.68 in late trade. PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) declined 1.72% or 0.70 points to end at 40.00 and Kruk SA (WA:KRU) shed 0.86% or 1.70 points to 196.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 235 to 216 and 181 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.39% or 0.28 to $72.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.54% or 0.44 to hit $81.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1232.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.18% to 4.2850, while USD/PLN fell 0.29% to 3.6966.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 94.66.
