Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Developers and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP), which rose 4.13% or 0.34 points to trade at 8.58 at the close. PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) added 3.56% or 1.50 points to end at 43.60 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was up 2.86% or 0.25 points to 9.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which lost 2.60% or 0.16 points to trade at 6.00 in late trade. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) declined 2.03% or 1.86 points to end at 89.64 and LPP SA (WA:LPPP) shed 1.37% or 130.00 points to 9365.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 242 to 223 and 184 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.92% or 1.30 to $66.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.32% or 1.01 to hit $75.46 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 6.00 to trade at $1297.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.30% to 4.3018, while USD/PLN fell 0.16% to 3.6987.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.35.
