Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which rose 10.77% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 3.51% or 0.020 points to end at 0.590 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 2.24% or 0.030 points to 1.370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 7.99% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.265 in late trade. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 4.44% or 0.00 points to end at 0.09 and Edegel (LM:EDE) shed 4.22% or 0.100 points to 2.270.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.08% or 0.04 to $49.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $54.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.11% or 14.84 to trade at $1353.84 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2339, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8779.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 91.49.
