Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi), which rose 1.25% or 0.250 points to trade at 20.250 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 1.25% or 0.020 points to end at 1.620 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 0.70% or 0.080 points to 11.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Compania Minera Milpo SAA Class I (LM:MILi), which lost 6.06% or 0.200 points to trade at 3.100 in late trade. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 3.28% or 0.020 points to end at 0.590 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) shed 3.22% or 0.140 points to 4.210.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 10 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.38% or 0.23 to $61.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $65.06 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.71% or 9.40 to trade at $1316.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.28% to 3.2615, while EUR/PEN fell 0.36% to 4.0185.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 90.14.
