Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 3.00% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.206 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 2.27% or 0.050 points to end at 2.250 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 2.00% or 0.230 points to 11.750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which lost 8.82% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.06 in late trade. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 3.49% or 0.00 points to end at 0.08 and Edegel (LM:EDE) shed 2.11% or 0.050 points to 2.320.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 14 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.43% or 0.20 to $46.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1315.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2405, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8936.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 92.27.
