Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 5.26% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) added 4.00% or 0.400 points to end at 10.400 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was up 3.90% or 0.090 points to 2.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 5.82% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.259 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 4.60% or 0.640 points to end at 13.260 and PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) 1.39% or 0.00 points to 0.07.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 26 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.28% or 0.61 to $48.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $53.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.40% or 18.94 to trade at $1332.26 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2295, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8641.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.67% at 91.92.
