Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Food, Beverage & Tobacco, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Prosafe (OSLO:PRSO), which rose 2.68% or 0.60 points to trade at 23.00 at the close. Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) added 1.56% or 0.04 points to end at 2.47 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was up 1.49% or 0.17 points to 11.57 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS), which lost 3.07% or 1.34 points to trade at 42.26 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) declined 2.90% or 2.5 points to end at 83.8 and Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) shed 2.45% or 2.35 points to 93.45.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 86 and 5 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 4.71% or 2.54 to $51.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 3.73% or 2.21 to hit $56.90 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.60% or 7.30 to trade at $1203.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.55% to 8.6958, while USD/NOK fell 0.61% to 8.0356.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 97.94.
