Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 1.31% or 3.00 points to trade at 232.40 at the close. Statoil ASA (OL:STL) added 1.08% or 2.0 points to end at 187.3 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 0.69% or 0.27 points to 39.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which lost 3.24% or 10.40 points to trade at 310.20 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 3.04% or 6.60 points to end at 210.80 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 2.97% or 0.75 points to 24.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 72 and 36 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.65% or 0.42 to $64.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $69.90 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.22% or 16.30 to trade at $1353.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.03% to 9.6250, while USD/NOK fell 0.72% to 7.7672.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.86% at 89.11.
