Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Auto & components, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 11.38% or 1.92 points to trade at 18.75 at the close. Aker ASA (OL:AKER) added 4.96% or 26.0 points to end at 550.0 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 2.92% or 3.00 points to 105.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 5.19% or 3.10 points to trade at 56.65 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 3.32% or 5.90 points to end at 172.05 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) shed 2.14% or 0.120 points to 5.250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 68 and 36 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.17% or 0.09 to $52.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $61.41 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.40 to trade at $1289.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.14% to 9.7569, while USD/NOK rose 0.07% to 8.4741.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 95.018.
