Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Energy and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 2.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which rose 10.84% or 0.58 points to trade at 5.93 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 6.86% or 2.49 points to end at 38.79 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 5.15% or 9.8 points to 200.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG), which lost 0.38% or 0.2 points to trade at 47.2 in late trade. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 0.03% or 0.05 points to end at 151.75 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) gained 0.31% or 0.26 points to 85.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 138 to 52 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.24% or 0.15 to $62.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $65.60 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.42% or 18.80 to trade at $1338.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.10% to 9.6551, while USD/NOK fell 0.53% to 7.7783.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 89.53.
