Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.82% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC), which rose 15.72% or 38.9 points to trade at 286.4 at the close. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) added 6.87% or 0.79 points to end at 12.29 and Prosafe (OSLO:PRSO) was up 6.41% or 1.50 points to 24.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which lost 0.89% or 0.02 points to trade at 2.45 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 5.14 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) gained 0.11% or 0.05 points to 44.16.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 116 to 62 and 6 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.95% or 0.48 to $51.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.81% or 1.02 to hit $57.59 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.06% or 12.60 to trade at $1206.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.60% to 8.5938, while USD/NOK rose 0.01% to 8.1110.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 99.69.
