Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 2.83% or 2.80 points to trade at 101.90 at the close. Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) added 2.68% or 2.60 points to end at 99.60 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 2.65% or 14.50 points to 562.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL), which lost 1.76% or 2.35 points to trade at 131.55 in late trade. Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) declined 1.75% or 0.62 points to end at 34.71 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) shed 1.40% or 3.70 points to 261.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 163 to 113 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.45% or 1.07 to $72.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.53% or 1.18 to hit $76.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 7.10 to trade at $2,628.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.47% to 11.81, while USD/NOK rose 0.92% to 10.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 102.58.
