Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which rose 1.11% or 0.48 points to trade at 43.62 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) added 0.72% or 0.15 points to end at 21.10 and Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) was up 0.33% or 0.02 points to 5.46 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which lost 2.23% or 3.50 points to trade at 153.75 in late trade. Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) declined 2.15% or 3.40 points to end at 155.05 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) shed 1.82% or 10.40 points to 560.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 31 and 11 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.56% or 0.39 to $69.57 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.58% or 0.43 to hit $73.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 4.50 to trade at $2,596.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 100.59.
