Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Technology and Construction & Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which rose 1.04% or 1.20 points to trade at 116.70 at the close. Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) added 0.76% or 0.17 points to end at 22.60 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was up 0.57% or 0.26 points to 46.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shell PLC (AS:SHEL), which lost 2.71% or 0.90 points to trade at 32.30 in late trade. Prosus (AS:PRX) declined 1.66% or 0.56 points to end at 32.94 and Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) shed 1.08% or 14.20 points to 1,299.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 67 to 34 and 10 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.41% or 0.30 to $73.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.41% or 0.32 to hit $77.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 1.85 to trade at $2,543.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 101.39.
