Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.50% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which rose 5.96% or 8.60 points to trade at 152.90 at the close. Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) added 1.98% or 0.46 points to end at 23.71 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was up 1.50% or 0.66 points to 44.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which lost 4.73% or 63.20 points to trade at 1,272.60 in late trade. Randstad NV (AS:RAND) declined 3.49% or 1.52 points to end at 42.00 and Prosus (AS:PRX) shed 2.57% or 1.01 points to 38.44.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 54 to 43 and 9 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.94% or 2.13 to $70.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.55% or 1.93 to hit $73.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 11.95 to trade at $2,693.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.97% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 105.02.
