Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.26% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which rose 0.55% or 7.00 points to trade at 1,275.80 at the close. Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) added 0.45% or 0.02 points to end at 3.56 and Prosus (AS:PRX) was up 0.45% or 0.17 points to 37.78 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which lost 3.32% or 4.90 points to trade at 142.50 in late trade. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 2.23% or 2.55 points to end at 111.60 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) shed 1.79% or 9.40 points to 514.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 28 and 9 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.43% or 0.29 to $68.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.46% or 0.33 to hit $72.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.63% or 16.45 to trade at $2,589.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.50% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 106.33.
