Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 3.37% or 0.75 points to trade at 22.98 at the close. Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) added 2.29% or 32.40 points to end at 1,450.00 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was up 1.57% or 0.69 points to 44.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG), which lost 16.86% or 4.97 points to trade at 24.51 in late trade. Shell PLC (AS:SHEL) declined 1.36% or 0.42 points to end at 30.50 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) shed 1.30% or 8.60 points to 655.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 53 to 49 and 7 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 5.66% or 4.06 to $67.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 5.61% or 4.24 to hit $71.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.30 to trade at $2,754.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 104.13.
