Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction & Materials, Support Services and Food Producers sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which rose 1.69% or 18.00 points to trade at 1,085.60 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) added 1.65% or 1.95 points to end at 120.00 and Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) was up 0.91% or 1.35 points to 149.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Heineken (AS:HEIN), which lost 1.36% or 1.10 points to trade at 79.72 in late trade. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 1.31% or 0.35 points to end at 26.30 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) shed 1.30% or 10.30 points to 784.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 60 to 44 and 5 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.55% or 0.42 to $76.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.39% or 0.31 to hit $79.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 7.00 to trade at $2,470.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.90.
