Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which rose 1.86% or 25.40 points to trade at 1,392.00 at the close. ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) added 1.74% or 0.77 points to end at 45.06 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was up 1.45% or 0.64 points to 44.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which lost 4.80% or 2.15 points to trade at 42.68 in late trade. Prosus (AS:PRX) declined 1.07% or 0.42 points to end at 38.50 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) shed 0.71% or 0.21 points to 29.49.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 60 to 35 and 7 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.07% or 0.05 to $70.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $74.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 14.40 to trade at $2,705.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 103.62.
