Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which rose 2.26% or 13.20 points to trade at 596.40 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) added 2.05% or 15.40 points to end at 767.50 and NN Group NV (AS:NN) was up 1.61% or 0.71 points to 44.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which lost 2.48% or 0.40 points to trade at 15.65 in late trade. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) declined 0.43% or 0.50 points to end at 116.25 and Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) shed 0.17% or 0.04 points to 23.69.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 73 to 27 and 12 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.29% or 0.21 to $73.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.54% or 0.42 to hit $76.76 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 1.55 to trade at $2,633.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 102.60.
